· Intro to Earth Science: Maps of the Earth · Rocks, Minerals, Energy Resources, Fossils · The Restless Earth: Earthquakes, Volcanoes · Reshaping the Land: Flow of water, Erosion, Deposition · Oceanography: Ocean Structure and life, movement of Ocean Water · Weather and Climate: Atmosphere, storms, Forecasting, Climate · Astronomy: Studying space, stars, galaxies, The universe, Formation of the solar system, Planets Within this last unit we will especially make time to discus many theories concerning cosmology with respect to various theories and how all this squares with Church Teaching. We learn to understand what areas are reserved for Church judgment and what are open to discussion and Scientific theory. |
